KCNA Scholarships
Background
KCNA scholarship project is aiming at promoting education for students of Kajokeji origin living in North America. There are 3 Types of Scholarships available under this project.
1. Kiden Dilla Scholarship
The scholarship was named after Kiden Dilla, a girl who actively raised money to educate orphans in Kajokeji. The scholarship was named after her to honor and recognize her contribution in education in the county. The Kiden Dilla scholarship is for Middle School.
2. Matat Kajokeji Scholarship
The scholarship was named in honor and recognition of Matat Kajokeji, the late Chief of Kajokeji County. Matat Kajokeji scholarship is for High School students
3. Matat Busu Scholarship
The scholarship was named after the late Matat Busu to recognize his efforts to promote modern education in Kajokeji County.
His efforts came at a time when most indigenous Kukus were skeptical of Western education. This scholarship is for College and University students.
Eligibility criteria
Students who qualify to apply for these scholarships must:
1. Study in North America (USA and Canada).
2. Have at least one original Kuku parent.
3. Have parent/s who are active members of KCNA with an up to date membership.
4. Have a minimum GPA of 3.5 or above.
Selection criteria
Students must have:
1. Shown leadership roles in his/her school or the community they live.
2. Have a concern for others by volunteering in projects and/or service organizations.
3. A paid work experience.
4. Been able to clearly community about personal strengths and goals of her/his future.

Applicants are supposed to download and complete the application
Then email the package to the KCNA President
The emails deadline is August 1 of the calendar year.
Winners were supposed to be notified by the third week of August of each year.
