Membership

 

KCNA organization  have three categories of membership: Full member, Associate member, and Honorary member and no individual is denied membership on the basis of religion, gender, clan/ethnic affiliation or political belief.

Full member: A person who is Kuku by birth, adoption or marriage. The father or both parents of such an individual are biologically Kuku; either parent or both are adopted; or a woman whose spouse is a Kuku. A person whose mother hails from the Kuku Community and is recognized to strongly believe and take pride in his/her maternal or Kuku identity, culture and traditions can be admitted as a full member provided that he does not hold any position of leadership in his paternal community.

 

 Associate member: A person who is nominally recognized as a Kuku through association with his/her mother or an individual whose wife is a Kuku.  Such a member shall not qualify to be an office bearer in KCNA but shall enjoy all other rights and privileges of membership.

 

Honorary member: A person who is a non Kuku but has outstanding relationship or association with the Kuku people and/or is a supporter, benefactor or sponsor of KCNA. This person will enjoy all the rights and privileges of membership except the right to vote or hold a KCNA office.
